UC Irvine offers a wide range of venues and meeting spaces. Most are managed by Student Center & Event Services (SCES), while others are overseen directly by their respective departments. Please note that rental rates, contract terms, and associated fees vary by location.

For Summer Conferences, venue and meeting space requests must be submitted separately from your Housing Inquiry. Use UC Irvine Eventive to request SCES-managed spaces, or refer to the information below to contact departments directly for spaces under their management.

SCES-Controlled Spaces

Please submit inquiries through UC Irvine Eventive for SCES-controlled spaces.

Student Center

The Student Center offers multipurpose event space, open 7:00 a.m. to midnight, daily (with the exception of university holidays).

Inquiries accepted no earlier than one year prior to event date.

Academic Classrooms and Lecture Halls

Academic classrooms and lecture halls are ideal for educational and instructional purposes. Capacities run from 15 to 400 seats. Rooms are not configurable and food is not permitted.

SCES will not have inventory or availability for these spaces until late spring when the University Registrar releases the spaces for external bookings.

Housing Meeting Spaces

Housing offers limited classroom and meeting spaces. These spaces are not actively staffed and are rented at a flat rate, provided as-is. Clients are responsible for supplying any equipment not available in the room.

Outdoor Spaces

Our primary outdoor areas include Aldrich Park, Ring Mall, and multiple plazas across campus.

Department-Controlled Spaces

Department-controlled spaces are managed by their respective area and require a separate booking process. Visit the websites provided for more information. Both department-controlled space availability and housing availability must be confirmed before a contract can be generated.

Newkirk Alumni Center (NAC)

A versatile space for conferences, board meetings, staff retreats, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and special gatherings.

Anteater Recreation Center (ARC)

Managed by UC Irvine Campus Recreation, the ARC offers indoor recreational facilities and outdoor fields.
