Start with one Summer Conference inquiry. Student Center & Event Services (SCES) Planners will assist in arranging housing and meeting space before a contract is issued.

Some venues are managed by other campus departments. Availability, rates and policies vary by location. Booking windows also differ by location and may not open on the same timeline as housing.

SCES-Controlled Spaces

Please submit inquiries through UCI Eventive for SCES-controlled spaces.

Student Center venue

The Student Center offers multipurpose event space, open 7:00 a.m. to midnight, daily (with the exception of university holidays).

Inquiries may be accepted no earlier than 12 – 18 months prior to event date. Talk to your SCES Planner for details.

Engineering Lecture Hall

Academic classrooms and lecture halls are ideal for educational and instructional purposes with capacities of 15 to 400 seats. Rooms are not configurable and food is not permitted.

SCES generally receives the inventory or availability for these spaces mid-spring quarter when the university registrar releases the spaces for external bookings.

Mesa Court facility venue

Housing offers limited meeting/facility spaces. These spaces are not actively staffed and are rented as-is.

Ring Mall

Our primary outdoor areas include Aldrich Park, Ring Mall, and multiple plazas across campus.

Department-Controlled Spaces

Department-controlled spaces are managed by their respective area and require a separate booking process. A few example venues are listed below.

Newkirk Alumni Center

A versatile space for conferences, board meetings, staff retreats, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and special gatherings.

Anteater Recreation Center

Managed by UC Irvine Campus Recreation, the ARC offers indoor recreational facilities and outdoor fields.
